What Are Chakras?
The word “chakra” originates from ancient Indian culture (600 -2,000 BC). There are even earlier references dating back to 200 BC in ancient Indian writing which refer to the chakras as “bodily centers of feeling or consciousness”.
The seven main chakras are aligned with the spine and are referred to as energy centers within the human body that relate directly to our feelings, emotions, and behavioral characteristics.
The chakras, funnel shaped vortexes, open out from our physical body and extend into our aura. Chakras are the energy processing centers of our body; they draw energy in from the outside. Each of the seven main chakras may be associated with specific organs and bodily functions as well as certain colors.
Energy blocks may also be created or held in the chakras causing a slow down or speed up in their movement or rotation. This shifting in the speed then interferes with how much energy is supplied to your body by the affected chakras & the organs or areas associated with that chakra. The blockage in one chakra may affect the function of other chakras.
